* Within 3 days of your machine purchase, you may return a new machine, plus everything that came with it, for a full refund, via your payment method. Machine must be in the original box, not registered with the manufacturer, and have no damage.
*After 3, but less than 30 days after purchase, we will gladly accept your machine return for store credit towards a new machine, minus a 20% restocking fee.
*We feel it is important for you to become familiar with your new machine and learn the fundamentals of using it, so refunds or store credit will not be given if you are dissatisfied with the performance of the machine and did not take advantage of the free new owner lesson(s). If there is visible damage to the machine that is being returned, i.e. machine shows damage as if dropped, scratched, missing items or not in a condition to resell,they will not be accepted for a refund or trade.
Items purchased at Sew Smart or shipped to addresses within the United States (lower 48) and returned in the original packaging/condition within 1 month of the original purchase, are reimbursed in full by the method in which they were paid. Items returned in packaging/condition other than “new”, may receive partial store credit.
All forms of software, machine embroidery programs, machine embroidery designs, patterns, books, clearance items, … are non-refundable.
Special order returns will be accepted according to the terms listed above with a 20% restocking fee deducted.
Any errors on our part, brought to our attention within 1 month of the date purchased, will be taken care of at no charge to the customer.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs when returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.
If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Returns requesting an alternative product will be charged shipping.
Class cancellations initiated by the customer are honored and the customer receives the refund in store credit.
Classes cancelled by Sew Smart will be fully refunded to customers in the manner in which the class was paid for.
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer's policies.
