ANOTHER SEWING SEASON
And here we are looking Fall in the face - kids
back in school, gardens and lawns slowing down, leaves preparing to fall,
threats of frost, quilt shows and expo's all over the place and more (?) time
to sew.
All three stores are gearing up for the next class
schedule. Look for some quick Christmas pieces for decorating or gifting,
some new and some tried and true techniques to pique your interest, new tote
bags and always the beginner sessions to build confidence.
If you have a request or idea for something you
would like to see on our class schedules, DO stop in and tell us or call. We
are always looking for new suggestions and projects. Or if you and a couple
of friends want to learn a particular technique or pattern, we will try to fit
it into your and our calendars and do a special session.
In your busy lives, we appreciate your support of
Sew Smart. We enjoy, very much, a quick (or not) stop to check out the
newest stuff or just to say "Hi" or (better yet!) to show and tell. Mary and
the Sew Smart girls look forward to your next visit.

Project Linus
The motto of Project Linus says...Providing
Security Through Blankets. How true! These simple blankets, made by loving
quilters and grammas and moms, are donated to hospitals, law enforcement and
social service organizations to be given to children "who are seriously ill,
traumatized, or otherwise in need " of the comfort, warmth and security a
blanket can give.
Project Linus has a national headquarters in
Bloomington, Illinois but is represented locally by the Portage and Wood
County, Wisconsin Chapter. Blankets may be dropped off anytime at Sew Smart.
Stop in and pick up a brochure with more information and thanks for helping a
kid in need.
